The Tiger Award 2020
The Tiger Award is awarded once a year and goes to a person who is a role model among their colleagues. The board’s reason for Boger receiving the award in 2020 is her strong artistic activity. Boger was chair of NTK 2003-2006 and vice chair in 2002-2003, the period when the SOFT gallery was started. Boger was recently a member of the board and contributed a lot in this work. Last year, she curated, among other shows, Irene Myran’s exhibition at SOFT. She has contributed to important professional development and increased knowledge of our field, including articles on textile artists such as Magdalena Abakanowicz and as editor of SOFT magazine. As Sæterdal said at the ceremony:
“You’ve been a force for the textile arts environment for years. You are present where it happens. We appreciate you as a good colleague, as a visual artist, as a role model, and not least as a tiger. ”
